Valentine is done
Here but now they're gone
Baby I’m Your Man
When Romeo and Juliet awoke after their tragic deaths, they found themselves in a place that was neither Heaven nor Hell. It was a realm of twilight, where the sky was always a deep indigo and the air was filled with a lingering melancholy. At first, they were overjoyed to be together again, believing their love could flourish in this new world.
“Juliet, we have been given a second chance,” Romeo said, holding her hands tightly. “Our love will conquer even death.”
“Yes, my love,” Juliet replied, her eyes sparkling with hope. “Nothing can keep us apart now.”
But as days turned into weeks, something began to change in Romeo. The spark that once ignited his love for Juliet seemed to flicker and fade. He found himself restless, wandering the shadowy landscapes, his mind plagued with doubts and memories of their tragic end.
One evening, as Juliet watched the ghostly river that flowed through their new home, she noticed Romeo’s distant gaze.
Came The Last Night Of Sadness
“Romeo, what troubles you?” she asked, her voice filled with concern.
“I don’t know…” he replied, turning away. “Something inside me feels different. I can’t explain it.”
Juliet tried to comfort him, but Romeo grew more distant each passing day. Small incidents began to reveal his transformation. He no longer sought her company, choosing instead to explore the desolate terrain alone. His words, once sweet and loving, became cold and indifferent.
One night, as Juliet lay awake, she overheard Romeo speaking to a shadowy figure at the edge of their abode. She crept closer to hear their conversation.
“Who are you?” Romeo asked the figure, his voice tinged with desperation.
Don’t Fear The Reaper
“I am the Reaper,” the figure replied, its voice a chilling whisper. “I guide souls to their final destinations.”
“Can you bring me back to the life I knew?” Romeo asked. “The life where I was in love with Juliet. I need to remember how love felt.”
The Reaper chuckled softly, a sound that sent shivers down Juliet’s spine. “I can, but remember, I am a trickster. Are you willing to accept the consequences?”
“Yes,” Romeo said without hesitation. “I need to feel that love again.”
The Reaper extended a skeletal hand, and in a flash of light, Romeo disappeared. Juliet rushed forward, but it was too late. She was alone in the twilight realm.
Romeo awoke in Verona, his heart pounding with a familiar longing. He ran through the streets, calling Juliet’s name, but she was nowhere to be found. The memories of their love flooded back, but so did the pain of their separation.
Together in Eternity
Days turned into weeks, and Romeo’s despair grew. He roamed the streets, haunted by the ghost of his love. One evening, he returned to the crypt where they had met their fate, hoping to find solace.
“Juliet,” he whispered into the darkness. “Where are you?”
From the shadows, the Reaper emerged, its eyes gleaming with malice. “You wished to feel love again, and now you do. But love and loss are intertwined, Romeo. You cannot have one without the other.”
Romeo fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face. “Please, bring her back to me. I can’t bear this pain.”
The Reaper shook its head. “This is the consequence of your wish. You must learn to live with it.”
As the Reaper vanished, Romeo’s heart ached with a newfound understanding. He had traded one agony for another, and now he was trapped in a world where he could feel love but never be with the one he loved.
In the twilight realm, Juliet stood by the ghostly river, a single tear rolling down her cheek. She whispered into the wind, hoping her words would reach Romeo.
And It Was Clear She Couldn’t Go on
“Romeo, I will wait for you, no matter how long it takes. Our love is eternal, and one day, we will be together again.”
But for now, they were separated by the cruel trick of fate, each longing for the other, their love both a blessing and a curse.
The candles blew and then disappeared
The curtains flew and then he appeared
