When you make love, do you look in the mirror?
Who do you think of, does he look like me?
Does He look Like Me?
Jack’s obsession with Emily consumed him. When she broke up with him for another man, he spiraled into madness. He stopped eating, couldn’t sleep for days, and began stalking Emily and her new boyfriend, Tom. He wanted revenge, but he also wanted Emily back, no matter the cost.
One night, in his darkest hour, Jack visited a medium named Madame Zara. “I need to move on,” Jack said, his voice trembling. “But I can’t forget her. I love her too much.”
Madame Zara looked at him with piercing eyes. “I see your pain,” she said. “But what if I told you there was a way to bring her back to you?”
Jack’s heart pounded. “How?”
Madame Zara handed him a small vial filled with a dark, swirling liquid. “This potion will bring her back,” she explained. “But there’s a catch. You must kill her first and then revive her with this potion. She will be yours forever.”
Jack was horrified but tempted. The thought of Emily with someone else was unbearable. He took the vial and left, his mind a whirl of conflicting emotions.
For days, Jack wrestled with himself. Could he kill the woman he loved to have her back? Desperation won. One night, he waited outside Emily’s house. When she arrived home from work, he grabbed her, his hands shaking. “I’m sorry, Emily,” he whispered before stabbing her.
With a heavy heart, he dragged her lifeless body to his apartment. He poured the potion into her mouth and watched, horrified and hopeful, as the magic took effect. Emily’s eyes fluttered open. But something was wrong. Her gaze was empty, her movements stiff. She wasn’t the same Emily he knew and loved.
Love Bites, Love Bleeds
“Emily?” Jack whispered, reaching out to touch her. She lunged at him, teeth bared, and bit his hand. He screamed, pulling away, blood dripping from the wound. Emily was a zombie, a dead soul trapped in a decaying body.
Days turned into weeks. Jack tried to care for Emily, but she only grew more violent. Every kiss he tried to give her ended with a bite. His love for her twisted into a nightmare. He couldn’t live like this, but he couldn’t let her go either.
One night, as Jack lay bleeding from yet another bite, he realized the truth. He had lost Emily forever the moment he killed her. The potion had only brought back a shell, a mockery of the woman he loved.
In a moment of clarity, Jack knew what he had to do. He grabbed a knife and approached Emily, who was staring blankly at the wall. “I’m sorry, Emily,” he whispered, tears streaming down his face. “I should have let you go.”
With a heavy heart, he ended her suffering and then his own. In the end, they were found together, lifeless but finally at peace.
Love Lives, Love Dies
Madame Zara watched from her window as the news of the tragic deaths spread. She sighed, knowing that love and obsession often led to dark places. “Some choices,” she murmured to herself, “are better left unmade.”
In the end, Jack’s love for Emily had destroyed them both. He had wanted her back so badly that he lost himself in the process. And in trying to hold on to her, he had let go of his own humanity.
The tragic epilogue to their story was a harsh reminder that some things, once lost, can never be truly regained. And that sometimes, the greatest act of love is learning to let go.
