The Testimonies:
Brian Miller:
“I was engrossed in a 19th-century medical journal in the library, which is filled with dusty shelves and ancient tomes. I was hoping to find some historical context that could shed light on the sanatorium’s past. When I heard the crash, it startled me so much that I accidentally knocked over a stack of books.”
Alice Green:
“I was in the patient records room, which smells strongly of mildew and old paper. I was taking notes for my article, sifting through files that haven’t been touched in years. All of a sudden, I heard the crash and immediately ran toward it, but when I arrived, everyone else was already there.”
Tom Harris:
“I was sitting alone in the cafeteria, a room that once buzzed with activity but is now filled with empty tables and chairs. Meanwhile, I was reminiscing about the people I used to work with. I heard the crash but thought it was just another sign of the building’s decay.”
Officer Jane Smith:
“I was patrolling the courtyard, which is overgrown with weeds and surrounded by a rusting iron fence. I wanted to make sure no one had snuck into the property. When I heard the crash, I immediately ran inside to see what had happened.”
