It’s a mad, mad, mad, macabre world and summertime is known for big releases and new Hollywood blockbusters, but that’s not what we are talking about today. Our summer months consist of those things that go bump in the night that’s a little more independent.
There are so many creepy creations out there that deserve to be seen and hopefully we shine a light on some of those worthy horrors.
Rising Stars in Indie Horror
There is a buzz behind Andrew Pierson with some incredible upcoming movies. Let’s talk Witchcraft 17 from director, Dustin Ferguson where Andrew plays the character of the warlock, William Spanner. A determined reporter probes the mysterious death of a woman who fell from a building, only to uncover a dangerous coven of witches’ intent on making her their fourth member.
Phil Herman’s A Soldier’s Descent takes horror to a very real level with themes of Vet PTSD, suicide, domestic violence and substance abuse and it features a revenge slasher killer. A reclusive war vet’s solitary life is upended when his sole friend dies in a tragic accident. Overwhelmed by loss and anger, he embarks on a brutal quest for vengeance against those he holds responsible. Andrew Pierson plays Sergeant Barney Griffith.
Now, let’s see what Avaryana Rose is up to in the world of horror and misfits. Spirit Springs is new film being released on Screamify. This creepy tale is about a rock band called Midnight Misfits who are traveling on tour. They stay at a remote mansion on the Florida springs with deep dark secrets. Eden, played by Avaryana, takes a dip and terror unfolds – an ancient spirit rises again to claim souls, who will last through the night? Beware…Something is in the water.
If our young scream princess doesn’t have enough to deal with at Spirit Springs,  now she’s got some Voodoo to contend with in Bitter Souls.  After a tragic accident a teenage girl is resurrected with the use of black magic. She uses her new-found powers to exact vengeance on her tormentors. Avaryanan is Kendall Kane is this must-see thriller.
