Recipe: Spider Chocolate Slime Tart
Ingredients:
- 200g Oreo cookies
- 50g unsalted butter, melted
- For the slime: 2 x 150g pots ready-to-eat custard, 1 tsp green gel food color, 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For the chocolate topping: 100g dark chocolate, chopped, 100g milk chocolate, chopped, 175ml double cream, 40g unsalted butter
- To decorate: 50g white chocolate, melted
Instructions:
Process Oreos to crumbs, mix with butter, and press into a 23cm tart tin. Freeze.
Combine custard with food color and vanilla. Pour over base, freeze until set.
Melt chocolates, heat cream and butter, mix, and let cool. Pour over base.
Pipe white chocolate in a spiral on top. Use a cocktail stick to create a web pattern.
Craft a spider with white chocolate on baking paper. Place on tart.
Chill the tart. Let it sit at room temperature before serving.
Leftovers Idea: Create chocolate truffles with any leftover chocolate, cream, and butter. Heat cream and butter, mix in chopped chocolate and flavoring. Chill, shape into balls, and roll in pistachios or cocoa powder.
